Update

Well...things are looking up on the sleeping front! I've been trying for a week now to get Addison on a good napping routine and it's working! She's taking 2 two hour naps a day and it's helping her sleep better at night. She went 8 hours last night without waking up one time wanting her paci. Horray!! She's had 2 good nights now and we're going to try for 3 tonight! This has come at a great time since Marty is out of town for the week. He went to New Mexico for a bomb class. Good times. Hopefully we'll all be rested and back to our normal selves when he comes home Saturday :)

True Life: I'm Tired!!!

Have you ever seen that show on MTV, True Life? It's a reality show that features all types of people with special circumstances. For example: True Life: I Have An Eating Disorder, True Life: I'm In Prison, True Life: I Have Five Illegitimate Children and A Stack Of Overdue Library Books. Anyways, Marty and I were joking this morning that MTV should come to our house and film us in an episode called True Life: I'm Tired!!! Our children seem to be in cahoots to keep us awake as much as possible these days. Hudson randomly cries out in his sleep which sends us flying up the stairs thinking he surely has lost a limb rolling off the bed but, oh no, he just wants to scream in his sleep for the fun of it. Our little Addison is a different story. She has us running up and down the stairs no less than 3 times a night to pop her paci back in her mouth. We sleep in 3 hour shifts around here and it's starting to take its toll on us. Marty's mom took a picture of the 2 of us this morning and my goodness was it rough. I fear my under eye circles have reached a point where no concealer can cover them and poor Marty's eyes are constantly bloodshot. I really shouldn't complain. We have 2 beautiful healthy children. If they weren't so stink'n cute I might just have to be frustrated with them. I guess it's worth missing out on sleep to be able to wake up to all this sweetness! Who can resist a face like this?

Look At All That Cuteness!

Goings On

Even though our lives have seemed busy busy busy, nothing too exciting has happened around the Pearce house. Poor Addison is trying to cut her first tooth (possibly 2 at once) which has made for one fussy baby. She is still waking up 2-3 times a night which has made for one sleepy mommy! Hudson has been his usual cute self and is enjoying his new swing set! We sold our sit and stand stroller on craigslist and used that money to snatch up an awesome deal on a swing set and a double jogging stroller. We got such good deals on both that we only had to pay$40 out of pocket! Yesterday was my birthday and we had a fun family day at home. We went on a walk to try out the new stroller and I even got an afternoon nap! Marty went to the Duke game last night so we had to sport our Blue Devil apparel. Well, that's about it. I know you're jumping out of your seat over this one :)
My beautiful birthday roses from Mom and Dad.
My view from the stroller. Addison loves starring at Hudson!

My sweet babies. Addison is waving at the camera!

Addison: 5 Months

Our little Addi girl turned 5 months yesterday. She's big stuff now...or at least she thinks she is! As you can see in the picture below, she's working on trying to sit up. She can teeter for about 10 seconds. She still has no interest in learning to roll but loves standing in her exersaucer. She naps twice a day and loves her sweet potatoes! Nights have been a little rough around here lately. She wakes up at least 2 times a night looking for her paci and wants to eat every 5 hours! We're going backwards! Hopefully this is just a phase and normal sleeping will resume ASAP!! Here are some pics that were taken in the last few days. She loves her big bro.

O Hudson!

Hudson has been doing great with his potty training. He's only had a few accidents and even made it through an entire shopping trip at Walmart without a hitch. He even picked out his own big boy undies (Handy Manny and Thomas the Train!) With all that said.....

I was in Macy's with the kids and my parents Friday night, looking through the baby girl clothes. They have strategically placed the lingerie beside the baby department. Is this Macy's way of giving couples a reality check? Anyway, I had my back turned to Hudson but I heard him say,"Look G-Daddy, big boy undies!" When I turned around I saw Hudson pointing at a mannequin wearing black see-through lingerie. There was nothing else to do but laugh. I guess in a way you've got it right Hudson....just not until you're married :)

For those of you who are wondering, mannequin is the correct way to spell the little display people in the stores. I thought it was spelled manican. Just a little tid bit of info.
