Christmas Love

For the past 2 years, we've had a Christmas get together with our best friends, Anna and Kris. Their little girl Lilly is Hudson's age and they have a new baby, Madelyn, coming this March! Last year, we made Hudson and Lilly kiss in front of the Christmas tree so, of course, we had to make them do it again this year. Hudson put some effort into it this year! What a lady's man :)

Merry Christmas

The best presents of all!!
Whewww....What a busy week! We had a wonderful and busy Christmas this year. The festivities started off at my parent's house on Tuesday night with a Christmas/welcome home party for Kaley. The day before, Marty and I went out and did a marathon shopping trip to do all of our Christmas shopping. I think I liked doing it that way. The stores weren't crowded and there were some pretty good sales going on. We'll make that our annual tradition. Wednesday was Christmas in Bahama. We also got to celebrate the fact that Baby Cameron came home from the hospital! Thursday, of course, was Christmas. Marty had to work but didn't have to go in until 9:00 so we did Christmas morning at home and spent the rest of the day at my parent's. The next day, I was totally exhausted and spent the day at home with Addi but Marty went out with Hudson and bought our present to each other...a new flat screen tv!! Overall, it was a great year. The kids were so cute with their new presents and we got to spend some great quality time with all our family. Here are some of my favorite pics from the past week.

Cookie Party

On Tuesday, our church playgroup came over for a cookie decorating party. It was a fun and messy good time!
How cute are these reindeer cookies?

All the goods.

Baby Emery....Addison's buddy :)

Bryson hard at work.

Hudson's best buddy Andrew, looking like a vampire.

Emery's sister Keaton. I like to call her Hudson's future wife :)

There's our boy! I think he ate more than he decorated.

Bryson's big bro Ryan. Hudson calls him Ryson.

The whole cookie crew.

Out Takes

Those of you with kids know how hard it is to get a great picture of them. You know...the ones where they are actually looking at the camera, smiling, with no fingers in their nose or tears running down their faces. I was looking through our pics the other day and I realized that I had some very entertaining poses from Hudson. Here are a few of my favorites. "I'm too sexy for my footie pajamas."

Huddled up...cold and alone on the bedroom floor.

Raise your hands...if you are Sure.

"Yes..I will take another monkey and a bowl of marshmallows please."

Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree

We finally made it out of the house to pick out our Christmas tree. We were a little late this year and most of the trees were picked over but we found a winner! I haven't been too motivated this year to decorate. I think it's because it's so hard to keep the house clean these days. We plan to decorate tomorrow morning when Marty gets home. It's suppose to be rainy so it should be a fun day to stay in and get into the Christmas spirit :) Hudson found this branch and enthusiastically shouted "Look Mommy! I have a Christmas tree!"

"Hmmm Buddy." "What do you think about this one?"

Marty insisted that Addison have her picture taken with the tree. You can almost see it in the background.

This is the one!

Baby Cameron

I'm an Aunt!! Marty's sister Cheryl had her sweet baby girl on December 4th, 8 weeks early! We were all very surprised but this wee one weighed in at 5 lbs 1 oz which is great for such an early baby. She had to be transported to Duke her first night for some breathing problems but is now back at Durham Regional with no breathing or feeding tubes! I haven't had a chance to go see her but Marty says she looks just like her daddy, John. I love that hair. It's just begging to have a hair bow in it :)

Out Of The Mouths Of Babes...

Every night after Hudson's bath, we read stories. We've just started reading him the Big Picture Bible, which by the way is awesome! I've been hesitant up until now to read too many Bible stories to him. I know, it sounds odd, but some stories are a little scary for a sensitive boy like Hudson! Anyways, I read him the story of the crucifixion and resurrection last night and afterwards we had a conversation that went like this:

Mommy: "Hudson, what was your favorite part of the day today?"
Hudson: "The tomb."
Mommy: "The tomb?"
Hudson: "It's empty."
Mommy: "That's right buddy. The tomb is empty."
Hudson: "He's not there."
Mommy: "That's right. Jesus isn't there. He's alive!"
Mommy: "Jesus came out of the grave and now he's our forever King." "Do you want to thank Jesus for being our forever King?"

And then Hudson quoted the Bible verse we've been working on for the past few days without me even prompting him to do so!

Hudson: "O, give thanks to the Lord. He is good. His mercy endures forever!"

Thank you God that your Word does not return void!

Wanna Know What's Ridiculous?

Need I say more?

Addison: 3 Months

Our sweet girl is 3 months today. I know...it's hard to believe! Just think, in 3 more months, she may be crawling! I don't have any stats for weight and height but she is definitely chunkier than she was last month! You should see her thighs! She's sleeping in 8 hour stretches at night and still eats every 3 hours. She's a sensitive baby (just like her brother) and gets a little overwhelmed in large crowds. She loves Hudson and flashes him a smile every time she sees him. Until next month....

Then and Now

Here are both of my babies right around 3 months. Hudson definitely has bigger facial features than Addison. I don't see the resemblance. Do you?

The Girls

We couldn't let the boys steal the show!

My Boys

There's nothing better than that!!

Yay!!

Addison had her official first full night of sleep. She went from 9:30 until 5:00 this morning. Woo-hoo! Let's hope we have a repeat tonight!

Swagbucks

Swag what? Most of you probably already got my email about this but I just had to share about my new find. It's swagbucks.com. It's a search engine that rewards you just for using their website to search for stuff online. Go here http://swagbucks.prodege.com/?cmd=sb-register&rb=245715 and set up an account and then just search from their website like you would with google. The more you search, the more points you rack up. You can redeem them for giftcards to places like Target, Starbucks and Amazon.com. Too cool. Also, if you use this link, I get extra points. Thanks :)

Poor Addison. She has a serious case of dunlap. Her belly has done lapped her diaper. She looks a little concerned about the situation!

Baby Shower

On Saturday, me and Marty's Aunt (and my sweet friend) Candy, threw Marty's sister (Cheryl) a baby shower. We all had a great time and Cheryl received lots of fun baby goodies! The pictures below show the cute decorations and the diaper cake that Marty help me make. I was inspired by the one Anna made for me back in August.
Candy came up with the idea for the baby clothes on the clothesline. Too cute!
The diaper cake. You know you have a fabulous husband when he spends his evening helping you roll up 112 baby diapers :)

Me, Cheryl and Candy. Notice how much Cheryl looks like Marty in this picture. Take away the hair and compare her face to Marty's profile pic. Crazy :)

Random

This is just a hodge podge of things that have been going on with the Pearces this week. On Tuesday, we cancelled our Time Warner service and got Direct TV with Verizon High Speed Internet. For those of you still using Time Warner, you're probably paying too much. We've really enjoyed our new service and we're paying about 1/2 of what we did with Time Warner. I have a picture below of Hudson looking out the window waiting for the Direct TV installer who by the way was 4 hours late! No worries...I called and complained and they gave me a $100 credit!
Also happening this week...Addison had her 2 month check up. She weighed 12lb 5 oz (75th percentile) and is now 22"long (50th percentile). She's kinda like a tuna can, short and round :) She got 2 shots (ouch!!) and has been feeling kinda crummy ever since.
On Saturday, we went to Bahama to visit Hudson and Addison's new cousins. Three walker hound puppies named Walker, Texas and Ranger (no, I'm not making that up). Marty's sister Cheryl and her husband John brought home the newest family members a few weeks ago. They're expecting their own little girl in January so they needed some prep! I told John that I couldn't believe he named them Walker, Texas and Ranger and he just laughed and said that at least their names weren't Doctor, Quinn and Medicine woman :)
Hudson's been cracking us up lately. He has developed quite the imagination. Yesterday, Marty was taking a pizza out of the oven and he grabbed one of the pot holders, put it on his head, and said "Look, a birthday hat!" Then he made Marty wear one on his head :) In the car yesterday, he looked out the window and said, "Look, a puma!" Some other words to note...
Chick-a-lick: Chick-fil-a
Coiky nuts: coconut
chocalick: chocolate
The puppies (sooo cute!!)
Waiting to go to church.

The "birthday hats."

One more cute shot of Addi.

Addison: Two Months

Our sweet girl is two months old!! She has lost her newborn look and is turning out to be one cute baby! She smiles every time she sees her daddy and loves to give us sweet baby cues. She is still eating every 3 hours and sleeps in 5 hour stretches at night. Yay!! She has her 2 month check up on Friday so I'll fill you in on her weight and length then. Hudson is interacting with her more. He will walk up to her and say "hey sweet girl, give us a smile?"
Addison was dedicated at church yesterday and unfortunately we didn't bring the camera but I'm hoping someone got a shot of her. She looked adorable in her little brown sweater dress.
Bumbo baby.

Check out her dimple on the left cheek. Hudson has one on his right cheek! God must have paired them up in heaven:)

The Baseball Man

This year for Halloween, Hudson dressed up like a "baseball man." We asked him what he wanted to be about a month ago and this is what he told us. We're not really sure why he requested this costume since we don't watch baseball at the house. Marty made him a super cute shirt with an iron on transfer from the computer and we found some XS baseball pants at Dicks. He was adorable!! Addison dressed up as the cutest baby in the world. She pulled her look off very well :)
'Lil pumpkin head.
Swing batter batter.

Look at that form. I see spring tee-ball in this boy's future!

He racked up on the candy. We sent it to the fire station with Daddy the next day
