Baby Shower

This past Saturday, my two very sweet friends, Stasha and Anna, threw me the best baby shower....ever!! I had a chance to hang out with a great group of girls and got almost everything we needed for baby Addison.
We were told at our last doctor's appt that they will induce me next weekend if she hasn't come before then.
In other news....Kaley left for Spain yesterday. It was hard saying goodbye, knowing she would miss Addison's birth but time does fly. She'll be home in time for Christmas. Have a great time Aunt KK. We love you and miss you already :)

Look at all the stuff Addison got!!
Hudson had a guest too. Little Janna came over to hang out with Hudson. So many lady friends....!
How cute is this diaper cake Anna made?

Our Olympian

We've discovered Hudson's hidden talent.....nude tricycle riding!! If they ever make this into an Olympic sport.....look out Michael Phelps! Just look at that form, that grace, that posture (or should I say posterior). Sorry buddy...you'll hate us for this in about 10 years :)

Father's Day Pictures

For Father's Day this year, me and Hudson had our picture made for Marty. We were going to frame them and surprise him but they never quite made it into a frame (it's on my "to do" list). Picture People finally sent us the proofs online and here are a few of my favs. Unfortunately they have the word zazzle across the front so they can't be re-printed.....just try to look past it :)

The Countdown Begins....

Well, ready or not, Baby Addison will be making her big debut in 4 weeks or less. I went to the doctor today and I'm 2 cm dilated and this child's head is low....I mean low. I feel like I have a bowling ball resting on my pelvic bone (good times). We're excited that the end is near. Hudson is ready to meet his sister!

Hudson's Helmenent

No, I didn't make a mistake on the title. Hudson finally got what he's been asking for all week... a helmenent. Since all he wants to do now is skateboard, we thought we may as well be a little safety conscience (sigh). Joking... we're glad the boy will finally put something on his head since he's refused to wear a hat or anything on his head since he was a baby. We're going to turn him loose in the driveway this evening. Pray for my nerves :)
Don't worry, Marty isn't trying to dress like a Nazi soldier. Hudson insists that Daddy wear his motorcycle helmet when he skateboards. Safety first!!

A Trip To The Museum....Kinda Of

Since Marty had the day off we decided to take Hudson to the Museum of Natural Science in downtown Raleigh. He was very excited and talked about "looking at animals" the whole ride. When we got to the museum, there was a sign on the door saying they were closed for the day due to a plumbing problem :( Bummer!!! The only other thing to do was to take him to the history museum (not a fun thing for a 2 year old). They did have a sports exhibit which was about the only thing we took him through. After that, we walked down the new Fayetteville St and got a hot dog. It was a hot but fun morning. Hudson with his shades, all ready to go.

The Next Tony Hawk

Hudson has a new hobby...skateboarding. We went to the beach last week with mom and Kaley and Hudson saw someone skateboarding. Well, Granna told Hudson that when we got back to Raleigh, she would buy him a skateboard. Guess what Hudson has talked about ever since? I found this little skateboard at Walmart and he's been riding non stop. This little guy can skate! We'll only let him do it on the carpet until we get him a helmet. For some reason, he likes to skate in the nude...odd! Daddy's excited that we may have an X Games contender on our hands and he broke out his old skateboard. Boys will be boys :)

"Look Mommy, I skateboard!"

He was actually about to fall but it looks like he's doing a cool move!
