Addison vs. Marty's Face

Our Addison is one wild woman. She loves to attack your face when she can get close enough. Last night she battled it out with Marty using some of her best moves.

The one handed nostril grab.

Marty tried to intimidate her with a scary look. It didn't work.

She came back at him with a wide mouth ear pull. Look out Daddy, she's going for your mouth!

Daddy fights back with his secret weapon, neck sugar :)

A Shout Out To Andrea

I just wanted to brag on my super talented sister-in-law. She is a member of the Rainbow Dance Company, an extension of Arts Together in Raleigh, and she along with her dance company put on an amazing performance this afternoon. Great job Andrea! I loved the swimming number. Too cute!!

Quote Of The Day

"Electing President Obama with as little experience as he had, makes about as much sense as a mute contestant on American Idol. Well, I would actually vote for a mute American Idol contestant. Now that would be something!"

Hudson Plays Dress Up

Last weekend, when it was cold and rainy, we were looking for something to do to pass the time. Hudson decided he wanted to experiment with my pashmina. First we made a do-rag, then a karate headband, then a superman cape and finally, I made him an Indian head dress. He completed the ensemble with my pink crocks. I think he's making quite the fashion statement :)

Go Green!

At the Pearce house this year, we celebrated St. Patricks Day with our favorite thing...food! Addison woofed down some green beans straight from my Maw Maw's garden and the rest of us dined on green pizza! Don't worry, it wasn't old and moldy. I just added some green food coloring to my home made pizza dough!

Hudson enjoyed his pizza!
Yummy!

The before picture.

Nothing like my Maw Maw's green beans. That sounds like a country song :)

Introducing.....

My fully potty trained boy! That's right folks. He now poops and pees in the potty (he tells us when he has to go) and wakes up from his naps dry. If that wasn't wonderful enough, he also can make it all night with no accidents. What a big boy! Love 'um!!

Meet Baby Madelyn

Our best friends, Anna and Kris welcomed their second little girl yesterday. Madelyn Lee weighed in at a whopping 8lb 15oz. Big sister Lilly is super excited! I went to visit them today at the hospital and soaked up some sweet baby goodness. Oh no...I've got the baby bug :)

Also making an appearance yesterday was our friend's, Brooke and Britten's, third little boy, Brooks Judson. Congrats to the Taylor family!!

Wild Woman

She feels the need to try and rearrange my face. We had her 6 month check up yesterday and she weighed in at 17lbs 10oz. She is now in the 75th percentile for weight and height.

My Sweet Birthday Boy!

Make a wish!

Orange Dorito teeth!

Can you see him in the moonbounce?

Party animal!!
My sweet baby is three years old today. If you ask him, he'll tell you "I'm three mores old!" My baby isn't a baby anymore...sigh. We've been partying all weekend and have had a blast. On Saturday, six of his best buddies came over and ate hot dogs, cookie cake and jumped in the moonbounce. On Sunday, we went to Bahama and partied with Marty's parents. Today (his actual birthday) we gave Hudson his present (a bike) and ate pizza and then on to Goodberrys. Whew...we are exhausted and on sugar overload. I think we need the rest of the week to recover before we party again at my parent's house this weekend. Here are a few pictures from his party.

Out Takes

I was in a huge hurry writing the last post and I forgot to include the out takes of our photo shoot. They're actually pretty cute! Sorry for the tiny pictures. It's the only size picture people will give you.

3 Year and 6 Month Pics

We took the kids to Picture People to have their pics made. For Addi, this was her first time in a studio. All in all... not great. The lady who took their picture was a weirdo!!! Not to be mean, but she wasn't the spiciest Dortito in the bag. Hudson had a hard time getting his cheesy smile a little less cheesy. By the end of it all my nerves were shot. Here are some of their best pics.

Addison: 6 Months

Our Addison is six months today. That's half a year people! Where has the time gone? She's developed quite the personality this past month. She went through a phase a few weeks ago where all she wanted to do was be carried around. She also decided that cuddling was for babies and would not let me rock her. I'm happy to say that she is back to her cuddly self. Sleeping has improved although I still think she could go 8-9 hours every night without a feeding. She goes to bed around 7, wakes up around 2 and then goes back to sleep until 6:30-7:00. She's cut her nursing back to every four hours and takes 2 solid feedings a day. It's all we can do to keep her from lunging at our plates during meal times. She thinks she can eat with the rest of us and screams at us if we try to withhold food during one of our meals. I gave her a biter biscuit this past week and she thought she was big stuff. She still refuses to make the effort to try and learn to roll but can sit up unassisted for long periods of time. Her new favorite toy is her toes and anyone's face she can get a hold of. She'll slap you around in a heart beat. Look out!

This evening we gave her a 1/2 birthday party. We did this for Hudson and he loved it. She had a great time squishing her little cake and loved tasting icing. Hmmm....hope that doesn't keep her awake tonight :)
