Our Pumpkin

We carved the Pearce Family pumpkin last weekend. Good times! Actually, Marty carved the pumpkin, Hudson played in the garage and I sat back and offered words of encouragement such as "you missed a spot!" and "are you sure it's suppose to look like that?" When it was all over, we ended up with a fabulous looking Thomas the Train pumpkin. The pics that follow are suppose to be in order from the time we started until the pumpkin was finished but they loaded backwards. Use your imagination!
Addison approves the pumpkin.
Hudson and Daddy with the finished product.

Hudson took time away from the carving for a bath and some time with his wheelbarrow.

Hudson thinks the inside of the pumpkin looks silly.

Good job Daddy!! Way to carve that pumpkin!

Hudson's First Fair

Oh the fair!! I love this time of year. We took Hudson for the first time yesterday and it was a blast! I have to admit, the fair had become a little boring for me but this year it was a whole new experience. Seeing everything through Hudson's eyes made this year the funnest I've had in years! To our surprise, he loves to ride the rides! We had to drag him away after about 20 tickets. He's still talking about how he petted goats, ate hotdogs and pickles and rode a motorcycle. We can't wait to take Addison in a few years!
Hudson and Daddy on the big slide.
Mmm...sweeter than cotton candy :)
Hudson loves rides!
Too cool for school.
Petting the goats.
Driving a car.
Hudson and Mommy on the swings.
Throwing back some fries.
The fair experience wouldn't be complete without a pickle :)

No, This Isn't A Baby Gap Ad!!

As I mentioned in an earlier post, my super talented friend Rebecca, did a photo shoot of the kiddo's. Here are some of my favorites. I could have posted all of them (they were that amazing!!) Go to her blog http://www.theindieimage.blogspot.com/ and check out her work. Then, I highly recommend you book an appointment :)Yes, that's red hair!!

My all time favorite of Hudson!

The Pumpkin Pick'n Pearces

So, like every family that has a blog, we had to post some pictures of Hudson and Addison's first trip to a pumpkin patch. Well, it wasn't really a "patch," just a place with a bunch of pumpkins for sale. Hudson had a great time walking around and commenting on the pumpkins. He kept saying over and over, "Ooo..it's a big pumpkin." Addison dressed up for the occasion and even cooperated with us when we propped her up against a pumpkin for a few pics. Marty and Hudson are going to try and carve something into our pumpkin. I'll let you know how it turns out :)

This one Mommy!!

The cutest pumpkin in the patch!

Date Night

Me and Marty had a much needed night out last night. The feeling of Independence was unexplainable as we drove out of our neighborhood singing "We're free, we're free...there's no one spitting up on me!!" We went to see the movie Fireproof and had a lovely dinner at Jonny Carinos. The moving was excellent. Besides a few scenes of corny dialogue, it was one of the best movies I've seen in a while. Warning...bring your tissues!

In young'n news...Addison had her 1 month check up this week. She's one ounce away from being a ten pounder and the doctor said that developmentally, she was acting more like a 2 month old. She has great head and neck control and loves to flash us smiles. Hudson is hanging in there. He's is starting to interact more with Addison. I was in our bathroom this morning when Addison started fussing. I stuck my head out the door and Hudson was leaning over the bassinet saying "What's the fuss Baby Addison?" What a good big brother.... He's saying the cutest things these days. We went to Applebees a few weeks ago and the waiter brought out our waters with a lemon wedge in them. Hudson loves to eat our lemons and immediately said, "Daddy, eat a lemon please." When Marty's entree arrived, he had a lime wedge on his plate and Hudson asked Marty if he could have his lemon. Marty said "No buddy, this is a lime," to which Hudson replied, "Daddy, eat a limon please." We're still laughing about that one.

No pictures to post today. Rebecca came over last week and took some pics of the kids so I'm hoping to get those back and have them posted very soon. They're going to be amazing so stayed tuned!!

Addison: One Month

Can you believe it? She's a month old. Slow down time!! She had her first milestone yesterday. Me and Marty were talking to her on the couch and she looked up at us and smiled and cooed. It melted our hearts! She is eating every 2 1/2-3 hrs and sleeps in 3-4 hour stretches at night. Lately, she's been wanting to be held while she's sleeping, which we're happy to do. More than likely, she'll be our last baby so I'm soaking up every minute I can, even if that means I'm spoiling her :) We love our girl!!

Love it!!

Throwing up her gangsta sign :)

And of course, a shot of big bro :)
