Happy Anniversary!!

I almost forgot to make a posting for me and Marty's five year anniversary!! We celebrated our five years by going out to dinner and catching a Durham Bulls game (which just so happened to be our first date). We thought we might get rained out but the rain cleared out just in time for a great game. Happy Anniversary Babe! I lul lu :) Ain't we cute?

I had to post this shot of Hudson. It makes me laugh :)

Martha Stewart....Don't Be Jealous!!

We've been a busy bunch of people these past few weeks. We're almost done with the kid's rooms and we finally finished landscaping our front yard!! (reason for title on this posting) Marty is on vacation for the next 3 weeks so I'm sure we'll get lots more done in the coming weeks (I plan on taking full advantage of him while he's around!!) Hudson's been sleeping in his new bed like a champ. He was upset last night so I took him to Addison's room and rocked him like I use to and he actually requested that we stop rocking and go into his new room. I guess he's not a baby anymore (tear). We leave for Myrtle Beach a week from Saturday. I think Hudson will love the ocean this year and I'm sure we'll have lots of good pics from that trip. The pregnancy's going great (other that the shocking weight gain at this morning's appt) I won't mention how much I gained over the past 3 weeks but let's just say I made the nurse weigh me twice just to be sure we were reading the scale right! Oh the joys of motherhood :)

No, this isn't a shot out of Better Homes and Gardens....It's our front yard :)

Happy Father's Day!!

Since Marty had to work today, we played hookie from church and spent the morning at the fire station. Hudson has a great time throwing the ball into the "butterfly net" (what he calls a basketball net) and running around the station. Afterwards, we ate a scrumptious brunch of Bojangles biscuits!! We hate that Daddy had to work on his special day but we had a great time at the fire station. We love you Daddy!!!

Making sure all the equipment is working.
Going up for the shot.
We love you Daddy! You're the best :)

Hudson's Words

Hudson has become quite the chatter box these days. He always has something to tell you and even when he is at a loss for words, he will yell your name to get your attention until something pops into his mind to tell you. Here are a few of his more interesting words and topics of conversation.
Hudson: "Mommy"
Mommy: "Yes Hudson"
Hudson: "Big kids choo-choo park. Tunnel darky. " (This is a recap of our trip to Pullen Park)
Hudson: "Mommy"
Mommy: "Yes Hudson"
Hudson: "Po Daddy. He sick. (Recap of when Marty was sick with strep throat.)
Hudson: "Mommy"
Mommy: "I lul lu Daddy's truck. "
Hudson: "Mommy"
Mommy: "Yes Hudson"
Hudson: "Daddy mocycle loud helmet and wheels."
Here are a few of his funny words....
Goosediver: Screwdriver
Fruitnodles: Motercycle (he can say motorcycle now but for a while it came out like this)
$%*@ out: Fork lift (very embarrassing when he says this in public!!)
Andrew buddy, Aiden buddy
I lul lu: I love you
It's scared: He says this when he hears a loud noise that scares him.
Mommy lay down: His request each night before bed.
Daddy zoom: What he tells Marty when he wants him to chase him.
This list could go on and on. He says new things everyday that make me and Marty ask "where did he learn to say that?" He's a genius!!

Happy Birthday Marty

Last month I threw Marty a surprise 30th birthday party at the Brier Creek Park. The surprise was that we were able to keep it a secret for over a month! We had a great time catching up with friends and family. (Thanks Aunt Cheryl for your wonderful pictures!!)
In other family news, we decided that our little girl's name will be Addison Grace. She's doing great and we'll get to meet her in only three months!! We're redoing the kid's rooms this week which is taking up most of our time. I'll post before and after pictures soon. Jim, Sean, Marty and Travis. The Old Station 3 boys.
