Pullen Park

Yesterday we packed up and headed out to Pullen Park or "choo-choo" park as Hudson calls it. We haven't been since last summer and even then Hudson was all about riding the train. Lately, he's been a little skiddish around big machines and loud noises but we thought for sure he would want to ride the wonderful train he talks about at least once a week. Well, as soon as we got on the train he started freaking out and screaming "all done, all done!" Being the wonderful parents we are, we held him down and made him ride the dumb thing. After it got going he settled down and loved it. He actually wanted to ride the little boats and the merry-go-round. He had a great time and threw a fit when it was time to leave. I'm sure we'll be making many trips back to "choo-choo" park this summer! Hudson driving his boat.
He looks soooo sweet!!
This is how excited he was to ride the boats.
This is how excited we were to ride the train! (for the third time)

It's A Girl!!!

So... I'm a slacker. Hopefully I can do better than one post every other week from now on. Ok, a baby update. As you have probably already heard, we're having a girl!! We couldn't be happier! I'm looking into her closet as I'm typing this and have already counted 10 outfits. How can anyone resist those sweet pink clothes? The search is on for a name. Well, Marty and I have already picked our favorite names and now we're waiting to see who will cave first (if you see him anytime soon, try to mention how much you love the name Addison!!)
Hudson already loves his little sister. When we ask him where the baby is, he lifts up my shirt and sticks his finger in my belly button. He's going to be a great big brother. In other Hudson news, he swallowed a penny last week. Well, we didn't know what he had swallowed until we dug it out of his poop 3 days later! PS: If you ever think mushing around in your child's poop will be just "another thing that comes with the job of parenting" you're wrong. It's disgusting and something no parent should ever have to do (no one mentioned that job description before we took him home from the hospital).
Well, I'll do my best to post more often. Below are some ultrasound pics of baby Addison (I mean, our sweet daughter whom we have yet to name)
Profile pic. She was moving her lips in a sucking motion when the technician pulled up this shot on the screen. So sweet!
Waving hello!

Baby Update

We had a doctor's appt last Tuesday and everything is great with the baby. We find out a week from tomorrow what we're having!! I started cleaning out the room upstairs that is packed full of boxes that we've tried to ignore for the past five months. I figure I have 5 months to get it cleaned and decorated but once I find out the gender, I'm sure I'll be more motivated to start getting it ready for a new little one.
Hudson broke out in a weird rash all over his body yesterday. The doctor said it was just a virus but we're thinking this is one odd virus. He has no other symptoms of sickness other than this yucky rash.
Here are the latest pictures.
Rocking on Granna and G-Daddy's front porch.
We've been practicing our facial expressions that represent different emotions. This is "show me happy!"
