Every night after Hudson's bath, we read stories. We've just started reading him the Big Picture Bible, which by the way is
awesome! I've been hesitant up until now to read too many Bible stories to him. I know, it sounds odd, but some stories are a little scary for a
sensitive boy like Hudson! Anyways, I read him the story of the
crucifixion and resurrection last night and afterwards we had a conversation that went like this:
Mommy: "Hudson, what was your favorite part of the day today?"
Hudson: "The tomb."
Mommy: "The tomb?"
Hudson: "It's empty."
Mommy: "That's right buddy. The tomb is empty."
Hudson: "He's not there."
Mommy: "That's right. Jesus isn't there. He's alive!"
Mommy: "Jesus came out of the grave and now he's our forever King." "Do you want to thank Jesus for being our forever King?"
And then Hudson quoted the Bible verse we've been working on for the past few days without me even prompting him to do so!
Hudson: "O, give thanks to the Lord. He is good. His mercy
endures forever!"
Thank you God that your Word does not return void!
